The Lost Opera

The Lost Opera is an interactive sound performance and dance piece. It Utilises specially created interactive technology to re-shape the boundaries of what can be achieved through costume, movement and sound.

Inspired by the Bauhaus Ballet of the 1920s, we wanted to create an outdoor work that could follow the similar motifs and shapes found in this revolutionary period in costume design. Large surreal shapes restrict the performer’s movement and in turn create a new language and characters that would form the basis of the show. It was important for us to take these ideas but to re-imagine a new performance that would put accessibility and interaction at the heart of what it could become. A show that isn’t limited to theatres and dance floors but could roam to new and unique locations, opening the door for a wider range of audiences.

OUR SON…COULDN’T BELIEVE HIS EYES… HE WAS ENTRANCED AND DELIGHTED BY THE COSTUMES… IT WAS AMAZING
