Up All Night
Up all night is s a triple video channel projection arranged across three walls. The central projection of a headless purple torso is flanked by two sets of mirrored hands seductively reach out from beyond their glowing frames, beckoning the central figure. The work feels like a mystical neon sex advertisement that is unashamed of its garish and obtrusively coloured elements. The central figure’s posture and stance feels like a pose, uncomfortable trying to retain their shape within the frame to give an aesthetic symmetry to the work. The figure ends by dropping her arms and shoulders as she slumps under the weight of the task.
